PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED DURING THE CREATION OF A PROTEGEAR ACCOUNT
When you create a ProteGear account you will be asked to provide your email address and name. If you wish, you may provide only your first name or a nickname instead of your full name.
 
PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS:
(a) Global SafeTrack Systems processes your email address as you log into your account using that email address and password. The legal basis for processing the email address for this purpose is based on Global SafeTrack Systems' legitimate interest in protecting the security of your account.
(b) Global SafeTrack Systems also processes the email address to send you important information about your devices, apps, subscription or account, such as important security information or material changes to this Privacy Policy. The name you provide will be linked to your ProteGear account. The legal basis for processing the email address for this purpose is based on Global SafeTrack Systems' legitimate interest in providing you with important information about your devices, apps, subscription or account.
(c) If you consent to receive marketing information from Global SafeTrack Systems, Global SafeTrack Systems will also process your email address to send you marketing information about Global SafeTrack Systems products and apps. The legal basis for processing your email address for this purpose is your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by changing the preferences in your ProteGear account or by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our marketing emails. The marketing emails you receive from Global SafeTrack Systems are based on the preferences set in your ProteGear account, the location indicated by your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the types of Global SafeTrack Systems equipment you have added to your ProteGear account and the subscriptions in your ProteGear account. (d) Global SafeTrack Systems also processes your email address to link it to your ProteGear account when you contact our support. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in providing quality support.

PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED WHEN YOU LOG IN TO YOUR PROTEGEAR ACCOUNT WITH THE SOCIAL NETWORKS LOGIN DATA IF YOU SO WISH
You have the choice to log in to your ProteGear account using social networking credentials (for example, your Facebook credentials). If you choose to do so, you will be asked during your first login if you agree that the social networking provider may share certain information with Global SafeTrack Systems, such as your name, email address, profile photo, posts, comments and other information related to your social networking account. This information is provided to Global SafeTrack Systems by the social networking provider based on the way the social networking login configuration works. However, Global SafeTrack Systems collects and processes only your email address from all this information. If you do not want the social networking provider to share your information with Global SafeTrack Systems, you can simply log in to your ProteGear account using your ProteGear account login details and not use your social networking login details.
PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS:
Global SafeTrack Systems will link the email address provided by the social networking provider to your ProteGear account so that in the future you can log into your ProteGear account using your email address if you no longer wish to use your social networking credentials. The legal basis for processing this information for this purpose is Global SafeTrack Systems' legitimate interest in providing you with an alternative login method and protecting your account.
 
PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED WHEN YOU PURCHASE A SUBSCRIPTION TO INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES
When you purchase an INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM subscription, INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM collects your e-mail address, mailing address, billing address, telephone number, and contact information for the emergency contacts you specify. Vantiv, a third-party provider, processes payment card information when you purchase a subscription to INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM satellite communications services. Please read the Privacy Policy carefully.
 
PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS:
(a) INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM processes the e-mail address to associate it with your subscription to INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM Satellite Communications Services, to enable you to send and receive e-mail to and from other users of INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM equipment, and to send you billing and other information regarding your subscription to INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM Satellite Communications Services. The legal basis for processing the email address for these purposes is to fulfill the subscription agreement.

(b) INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM processes your postal address, as GEOS and the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center ("IERCC") use the postal addresses of INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM subscribers to determine whether the SOS button has been inadvertently activated by a subscriber at their residence. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM to reduce the number of false alarms.
 
(c) INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM processes the telephone number, as it is used by GEOS and IERCC to determine whether the SOS button has been inadvertently activated by the Subscriber at his/her residence, and is used by INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM to contact Subscribers for billing information The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM to reduce the number of false alarms and to contact subscribers regarding their billing information.
 
(d) INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM processes contact information for the emergency contacts you have designated so that INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM and/or GEOS and IERCC can communicate with these emergency contacts if you are in an emergency situation. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM to communicate with the emergency contacts designated by you if you are in an emergency situation.
 
(e) INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM processes the email address to send you emails to keep you as a subscriber, if you are a resident of the United States and do not object to receiving these emails, or if you are a resident outside of the United States and have consented to receive these emails. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

When you communicate with our support team by email, telephone, online or in person, we collect personal information such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, email address and contact preferences, as well as information about the Global SafeTrack Systems products you own, such as serial numbers and date of purchase, and information about your subscriptions. We may also create event logs that may help diagnose product or app performance issues and record information regarding the support or service issue. To improve customer service, but subject to applicable laws, we may record and review conversations with customer service representatives and analyze feedback provided to us through voluntary customer surveys. With your consent, our Customer Service Representatives may log into your ProteGear account where appropriate to assist in the handling and resolution of the problem.

GEOS AND IERCC:
When you use the Satellite Communication Services and trigger an SOS Distress Signal, INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM will disclose various information, including name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, content of the message, time of transmission, and the identity and location of the sender and recipient of the message, to GEOS and the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center ("IERCC"); we may also provide this information to appropriate authorities and law enforcement agencies and members of your family. GEOS and IERCC may also provide information necessary for emergency services.
 
SEARCH, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES:
When you use the satellite communication services and trigger an SOS emergency signal, INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM may provide various information, including name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, message content, time of transmission, and the identity and location of the sender and recipient of the message, to appropriate search and rescue and emergency services. GEOS and IERCC may also provide this information to relevant search and rescue and emergency services, as applicable.
 
FAMILY MEMBERS:
INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM may also provide information, such as the content of the message, the time of transmission, and the identity and location of the sender and recipient of the message, to family members listed in your subscription settings, if you so choose.
 
PEOPLE YOU INVITE TO TRACK THEIR POSITION:
You may invite family, friends, or others to track your progress on your computer or mobile device through the Web-based MapShare / TripShare™ portal. The INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM device sends track points at pre-determined intervals so others can track your position online. You can also invite family members, friends, and others who stayed at home to send a position request to your INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM device via MapShare / TripShare to maintain your GPS position, track your path, and exchange messages while you travel. You can also integrate your MapShare / TripShare page into a blog, website or social media if you wish.
 

OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS:
Global SafeTrack Systems uses cloud services from third parties such as Adobe and Emarsys to support email delivery. These services track email-related activity, such as whether the email was opened, whether links in the email were clicked, and whether purchases were made after clicking on those links. Global SafeTrack Systems uses this information to analyze the level of interaction with these emails. Global SafeTrack Systems works with external service providers to better understand how our websites and apps are used and for similar purposes.
 
INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM uses SendGrid to send messages from Global SafeTrack Systems INREACH/IRIDIUM/GSM devices to email addresses, and SmartFocus to send newsletters and other content to subscribers via email.
 
FURTHER DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION:
We may disclose information about you to others: (a) if we have your effective consent to do so; (b) to comply with a valid subpoena, law, court order, legal process or other legal requirement; (c) to enforce our terms or policies; (d) to seek available remedies or defend legal claims; or (e) when we believe it is necessary or appropriate to try to help you if you are in an emergency situation.
